Stream Bank Assessments

The streambank assessments are one of the projects of a river conservation plan. The assessments provide the public with an opportunity to participate and learn first hand the problems with the stream - and those sections of the stream that are in good shape and need further protection. Also, these assessments will assist with prioritizing the locations of restoration projects once our plan is completed. Lastly, they will provide a baseline (a sort of snapshot of existing conditions) that we can measure against once our watershed management plan is in place to see where our efforts have improved conditions or whether or not we need to adopt different strategies for improvement.

PA Stream Signage Program

The Partnership is currently applying for the PA Stream Signage Program Grant from the Pennsylvania Organization for Watersheds & Rivers. "The programs purpose is to raise awareness, connect people to their watersheds, and encourage them to protect their water resources. The blue background with white border and lettering signs, sized 900 mm by 300 mm, will be placed immediately before both sides of bridges over the designated waterways."
